With all the new apartment blocks opening their doors in the Zuidas there are a lot of young families moving into the area. And there are plenty of new initiatives for the youngest Zuidas residents. Journalist Natasja Admiraal and photographer Jeannette Huisman, two friends who gave birth to a baby girl on the exact same day, reveal their favourite hotspots and activities.
ArtZuid
Young artists
Parents with creative children, take note: during school holidays Art Zuid organizes the popular Art Camp for children between 5 and 12 years old. They’re taught how to look at art during art trips, they can let their hair down in the Beatrixpark and learn to work with different materials and techniques. At the end of the week, all artworks will be displayed in a special exhibition for parents, relatives and friends.
Since 2015, more than 500 children have participated in this five-day camp. Perhaps you’re looking for an original birthday party for your child? Then you’re welcome to celebrate his or her birthday with a creative workshop at Art Zuid. Our art experts guide the children in their creative process and help them make a work of art in a theme chosen by the birthday boy or girl. Fun time guaranteed for all!
